Ouch! American Idol Premieres To The Lowest Ratings To Date!

This … is American Idol’s worst nightmare.

While the return of the reality juggernaut won the night considerably, the 11th season debut of the FOX powerhouse suffered from the biggest year-over-year ratings drop for a premiere episode in the show’s decade-long history.

Down 27 percent from last year, Idol delivered 21.6 million viewers and a 7.2 in the adult demo last night. Considering the changes (and the competition) that has come up in the past year, this wasn’t completely unexpected. Still, considering how mediocre X Factor faired in the ratings in comparison, this is undoubtly very disappointing for FOX.

Jay-Z Steps Out Sans Beyonce & Blueyonce For The First Time Since Becoming A Dad

Big Papa is in the house!

Last night, Jay-Z made his first public appearance since becoming a daddy at the grand re-opening of 40/40, his NYC club. He flew solo for the evening, with Beyonce and little Blue Ivy staying safe and sound at her “executive suite” at Lenox Hill Hospital, but he was happy to chat briefly with the throngs of reporters and photographers on the red carpet about his little family.

He happily thanked everyone for their well wishes and invited them into his club with a huge smile. He was spotted shaking hands and accepting everyone’s congratulations while partying with the likes ofAshanti, Russell Simmons, Swizz Beatz and Selita Ebanks. He was also seen doing the classic Dad move of showing everyone who wanted to see pictures of his new baby girl on his phone to friends, “beaming” from ear to ear the whole time!

Such an exciting time in his life! We’re so thrilled for him!

Rick Perry Outs Himself Out Of GOP Race!

Aww! Poor Bill Hader!

What? His Rick Perry impression was getting really good on SNL! Another week or two, he would’ve had it down SOLID! Whomp, whomp.

For anyone who actually gives a damn about his homophobe, Ricky Perry is telling his supporters that before the GOP debate in South Carolina tonight, he will make the official announcement that he is dropping out of the presidential race. No word yet on who the Texas governor will endorse now that he’s out, but with him gone, it looks like it’s down to Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum.

So, which of these is the lesser of two evils? Which of these two do we want to see FAIL against Obama in the fall?

Men Arrested In South Korea For Smuggling Gold…In Their Rectums!

At least they’re putting their rectums to good use! Ha!

Earlier this week, South Korean customs officials made the announcement that they’ve arrested eight men who schemed to smuggle gold out of the country…in their rectums!

Apparently, the men were able to transform $260,000 worth of gold bars into “small beads” and they smuggled it all across the border TWICE in 2010, in an effort to avoid import taxes! Wow!

We’re hearing that the men were caught by Japanese customs officials during their second job, but they were only given fines at the time.

Now, South Korean officials have gathered evidence and they’ve gotten the smugglers to admit to their crimes.

Let’s just hope their rectums fare better in jail…

It’s going to be a very intimate wedding with only immediate family and very, very close friends. It will probably be a destination wedding in a very warm, tropical location.

There is absolutely no drama with the planning of the wedding and Britney will probably wear an off-white dress that will show off her killer bod.

Britney’s sons are absolutely going to be a part of the ceremony as ring bearers, and Jason has something very special planned for the boys that will take place during the wedding.

We can’t wait to find out what that special something is!!! Jason is going to be such an amazing legal step-father!!

Katy Perry isn’t afraid of much so we’re unsure of this, but…

According to sources in the publishing world, Russell Brand has decided to move forward with the third installment of his Booky Wookmemoir series.

And the stories in the third one will apparently feature everything that went on throughout their marriage — including details on why it crashed.

Another source claims Katy is worried, saying there are definitely things she doesn’t want out in the open.

But ya know what!!! We’re not buying it. We HIGHly doubt Katy is shaking in her boots over this. Whatever he writes will be from his sideand she has to know that.
